Position Overview
Do you want to help creative professionals in film and games achieve their artistic vision? Our Experience Design (XD) Team is part of Autodesk's Entertainment and Media Solutions (EMS) group.? This group creates award-winning desktop and cloud software for the media & entertainment industries.? At Autodesk, our designers are innovative futurists, creative thinkers and experienced, agile partners all rolled into one. We hope you are an overall product design expert with a deep web, desktop, mobile and TVOS expertise.
You will report to the Director of Experience Design for Media & Entertainment. This role is hybrid/remote and can be based in any city in New Zealand or Australia. Our offices are in Auckland, New Zealand.
Responsibilities
- Design elegant user-centric experiences that delight users
- Define the User Experience, interactions, and user interface through user flows, information architecture, sketches and wireframes, and visual design
- Build functional prototypes to validate your designs
- Help maintain visual and brand consistency across all products
- Help define the vision and execution of solving user problems through the User Experience
- Contribute to the Design Systems, help determine whether components are single-use or multi-use, and provide recommendations to designers regarding new component requests
- Participate in Design Reviews and model best practices for giving and receiving feedback
Minimum Qualifications
- Visualise and prototype intended solutions at multiple levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes or mock-ups to conceptual presentations to technical documents and diagrams
- Present designs to multiple audiences, including software development, quality assurance, learning content development, marketing, and User Experience Designer P3 - Trimmed 3 leadership
- 5+ years of experience with human-centered design methods and practice. Data-driven design experience with a focus on solving customer challenges
- Bring order & simplicity to complex interactions., be able to distil complex ideas to their essence
- You will convey design ideas by sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations
- You are a Figma Expert
- You are a full-stack designer; you work from concept to final pixel
- You are a experienced storyteller and conceptor with experience working in a diverse environment to develop concepts that delight customers
