Let’s talk about the role:Â

Â
ResMed is seeking two highly motivated and passionate Senior UX Designers to join the Global User Experience team, we have one requirement on an initial 6 months FTC basis and another on a permanent full time basis.Â

Â

In this role you will experience facilitating and collaborating in discovery and design workshops and work to bring other disciplines along the design process. You will advocate for the practice of UX within a product team and demonstrate the value of design through your work and collaborating with team members. You will not only take the initiative to truly understand users, but you will also try to understand and include the perspective of teammates when working on a project together. In this position, you are always learning and understand the importance of helping others learn and grow.Â

Responsibilities and accountabilities include:Â

• Understand and advocate for our users and their needs through building empathy, incorporating their behavior, attitudes, and emotions, leveraging research insights and domain analysis to craft meaningful solutionsÂ

• Represent UX as lead on a product team, partnering with Product Management and Engineering peers, collaborate with companion teams including Industrial Design, Tech Comms, Product Marketing, Consumer Insights, BrandÂ

• Plan, facilitate and participate in discovery workshops and ongoing interaction with key stakeholders to develop user-centric solutionsÂ

• Develop concepts, sketches, wireframes, flows, journey maps, storyboards, and other design artifacts.Â

• Prototype and rapidly iterate semi-functional, lo- to mid-fidelity designs based on user research, acknowledging technical feasibilityÂ

• Facilitate the design process; including ideation sessions, design sprints, design studio; critiques and reviews, contributing to our global design systemÂ

• Assist with user research, usability tests, customer interviews, etc., develop success criteria, analyze results and provide recommendationsÂ

• Collaborate with other senior designers and leads to ensure a holistic and cohesive User Experience across the ecosystemÂ

• Act as a UX evangelist and champion for the teamÂ

• Mentor/coach other designersÂ

You have a passion for using design thinking to drive innovative, user-centric solutions across a global ecosystem of products, services, and digital technology.Â

You have an extensive background in UX design and applying user-centered design processes. You possess an eagerness to influence business decisions for the customer through user empathy and a passion for shaping company culture and processes. Â

Â

You have relentless determination to represent the voice of the customer in order to inform product and service design around user behaviors, emotions and needs. You are passionate about solving for the right problems.Â

Â

Qualifications and ExperienceÂ

• Strong online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design methods with examples of artifacts for digital, physical and/or services products e.g. lo-fi sketches, wireframes, flows, prototypes, storyboarding, journey maps, etc.Â

• Significant experience designing in an agile, fast-paced and collaborative environment alongside engineering and product managementÂ

• Fluent in modern collaboration, wireframing and prototyping toolsÂ

• Solid understanding of modern web principles (responsive grids, hierarchy, information architecture, navigation patterns, etc), user-centered design methodologiesÂ

• Familiarity with web technologies and their impact on feasibility of design solutions, familiarity with HTML, CSS, Javascript/JQuery, and cross-browser compatibilityÂ

• Proven track record in delivering delightful and easy-to-use products and services based on user needs, using research to validate design decisionsÂ

• Effective problem-solver, communicator, presenter, and negotiatorÂ

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a timely mannerÂ

• Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or equivalent professional experience as an interaction/User Experience designerÂ
