About the Role
Flinders University is seeking a skilled Senior UX Designer, to join their team within Marketing and Student Recruitment. The Senior UX Designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product/project managers, developers, and stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions that meet user needs and business objectives. The Senior UX Designer will be instrumental in shaping Flinders digital presence and driving positive user experiences that ultimately contribute to the success of the University.
The Senior UX Designer will also be responsible for:
- Creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows and interactive mock-ups that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Iterating designs based on feedback and user testing.
- Enhancing web user experience through refined user journeys, intuitive flows and functions.
- Providing UX Design support and expertise to collaborate on marketing campaigns and work closely with the marketing team to ensure that user experience considerations are integrated into promotional materials, landing pages and digital campaigns.
About You
As the Senior UX Designer, you will a strong understanding of interaction design principles and best practices. You will have high-level communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to effectively present and justify design decisions to stakeholders. Furthermore, you will have excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business goals and user needs into innovative design solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (desirable, but not essential).
