About our opportunity
We're committed to aligning with Queensland’s Organics Strategy 2022-2032 and the SEQ Waste Management Plan to increase our recycling rate and reduce waste being disposed in landfill. City of Moreton Bay's Waste Services team is introducing a Garden Organics (GO) Collection Service across the region this year.
As a Senior Contracts Officer - Organics Collection Service you'll be focused on the the end-to-end contract implementation activities for the kerbside Garden Organics Collection Service for the Waste Services department. You'll be:
- The key point of contact in the provision of technical advice and support implementation requirements for waste management facilities and developing improvement actions
- Preparing reports, briefing notes, submissions and other documents to support decision makers
- Working on workforce management activities to drive positive customer service outcomes and delivering Waste Service outputs
- Managing the implementation components of the Garden Organics Collection Service contract
- The escalation point for a range of service, contract implementation and contract operational matters
- Working with colleagues from the Waste Services’ team and other Council departments, and external contractors to ensure compliance requirements are fulfilled
- Building great relationships with stakeholders meet service deliverables in a timely and effective manner.
This is a two year maximum term contract, and the team will be moving from Petrie to the brand new, purpose built Narangba Depot in the coming months.
About you
We're looking for your comprehensive knowledge and experience in kerbside waste Collection Services mobilisation and operations and of contract management, as well as:
- Substantial experience in scoping, designing and implementing workflows and business processes
- Strong experience applying knowledge of legislation, codes, industry standards, and best practices relevant to waste service contracts
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, focusing on delivering outcomes in a timely and effective manner
- Experience delivering outcomes through a project management framework
- Degree in Business Management, Project Management or relevant experience
- Current C class drivers licence (required)
