About this Program

PARC is a step up, step down short stay residence that provides clinical and psychosocial support to young people 16-25, who are working on their Mental Health Recovery.

PARCS operate 24/7 on a rotating roster and penalty rates apply for afternoon and weekend hours. This role does not require sleepover shifts.

All our recovery services value cultural diversity, support and create opportunities for recovery, value peer participation and leadership and are underpinned by evidence-based best practice.

About the opportunity

This is a rare opportunity you will want to be part of. In partnership with Monash Health, Wellways is delivering our Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) services into South East Melbourne. Our multidisciplinary recovery teams are creative, motivated and focused on ensuring positive experiences for participants and their loved ones.

The Senior Recovery Worker plays a vital role in working with participants of the program as well as providing senior support to the team and the Program Manager, including direct recovery work with participants, operational support and improvements to support the ongoing quality of the program.

To be successful in this role

  • Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health, AOD or related field or tertiary qualifications in social science or related discipline (current studies also considered)
  • At least 2+ years experience in the field of mental health and/or disability
  • An understanding of the biopsychosocial model of mental health and social inclusion principles
  • Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Right to Work within Australia
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
