Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Senior Wireless Technician to join our growing company. You will be responsible for Undertaking site-based field activity and responsible for the wireless Installation
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: QLD - Fortitude Valley
Reporting Line: National Construction Manager
Key Responsibilities
This role is responsible for Wireless Technician activities of telecommunication sites to carrier specifications and Service Stream’s processes including Safety and Quality.
- Ensuring all personal actions are in line with the HSE procedures and legislative requirements
- Demonstrating commitment to HSE through active participation in WHS&E initiatives
- Liaise in advance any site-specific requirements
- Work with the field Manager on creating an efficient way to complete the tasks
- Ensure the requirements of the Quality System, within areas of responsibility, are adhered to.
- Building sites to relevant Carrier (nbn Fixed wireless/Service Stream specifications)
- Work to ensure installation activities achieve design program and Client schedule
- Provide feedback to project team to improve design process and site designs
- Participate and contribute to an effective and productive team
- Consulting and communicating with Project Engineers and Field managers
- The ability to work in regional areas on LAFHA and after hours as required
About You
- Previous experience on nbn Fixed Wireless network rollouts, projects in Australia.
- Demonstrable skills in fault analysis/diagnosis and corrective actions to satisfactory conclusion
- Demonstrate the ability to lead a team including telecommunication riggers in the delivery of nbn fixed wireless sites
- The ability to mentor others as the senior technicians
- Familiar with nbn fixed wireless installation standards or have strong technical background in telecommunications.
- RF,TX and Fibre Cable Testing, (preferred)
- Demonstrate and maintain a level of physical & medical capability
- Experience with fault finding ASM/RTWP/MIMO/VSR issues an advantage
- Strong communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Rigging skills an advantage
