An exciting role awaits a dynamic leader who enjoys developing teams and achieving results. The Work Coordinator Senior supports the Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Superintendent in managing the maintenance and capital work execution team in Proserpine, ensuring work activity is in accordance with the schedule with acceptable standards of productivity. This role will also provide Superintendent coverage in the absence of the Superintendent, assisting in building your future leadership capabilities. This is a challenging opportunity, working a family friendly roster with opportunities for overtime, just a short drive to the Whitsundays!
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Working closely with the site Scheduler to assemble an achievable work schedule from the planned work packages determined by the asset management team
- Manage the schedule compliance and break-in work.
- Plan and provide the necessary services and support in breakdown situations.
- Coordinating the resources required for maintenance and capital works including breakdown/shutdowns
- Supporting the development and improvement of existing asset management systems and processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant business codes of conduct, statutory acts and regulations.
- Manage performance and development of direct reports
- Manage work to planned costs, forecasting corrective maintenance
You will have strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, and have an ability to influence internal and external key stake holders. You will be able to demonstrate how you are adaptable to changing work environments, demonstrate initiative and work under pressure, and have a commitment to developing new skills.
Something about you
The successful applicant will have:
- Qualifications in a relevant Engineering and/or Trade discipline or equivalent practical experience team
- 5+ years or equivalent maintenance and reliability experience in leadership role within heavy industry
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple work groups and provide coaching, development and performance management
- Experience using SAP, MS Project and hold industry qualification in Supervisory skills would be highly desirable but not essential
