Senior Workforce Demand Analyst/StatisticianThe opportunityReporting to the Operations General Manager, the Senior Workforce Demand Analyst/Statistician is a key role within the operational team.The position will suit someone with experience within the field of statistical analysis.The role will require the holder to take ownership of developing and applying actuarial, mathematical, statistical and quantitative principles and techniques to analyse Workforce Demand statistics. This information will support the operational leaders on workforce planning.Key responsibilitiesSome of the major accountabilities are:

• Defining, analysing and solving complex business problems relating to Workforce Demands.
• Designing new types of policies, assessing risks and analysing
• Formulating mathematical models to simulate processes
• Applying models to experimental observations, and adjusting and recasting the models
• Using numerical analysis methods to develop algorithms to support the business in understanding workforce requirements.
• Liaising and partnering with management to understand business needs from a statistical perspective.
• Specifying the data to be collected, and the methodology to be used in collection and analysis
• Evaluating and describing the reliability and utility of source information
• Analysing and interpreting data, and producing relevant statistics to describe and infer particular trends and patterns

About youThe ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge in a similar role and will be able to demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline ie: Statistics or Mathematics.
• Expert communication skills and ability to tell stories with data.
• Experienced analyst with focus on using data for decision making
• Experience across the full development data and reporting lifecycle (covering requirements, design, implementation, testing, etc.).
• Proactive, solutions-focused attitude with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively, utilising best practice methods where possible.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
• Strong Knowledge of Data Science.
