About the Role
In response to our evolving and expanding organisational landscape, the Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking an experienced Senior Workplace Relations Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the Workplace Relations team, to drive cultural change, to ensure the delivery of contemporary and culturally diverse Workplace Relations services.
Commencing in the New Year, the Senior Workplace Relations Lead will influence and support organisational culture with a focus on people-centric principles. Your leadership will extend to cultivating relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure effective and compliant service delivery. Additional responsibilities for this role include leading, motivating, and developing team members to align with the service area priorities and overall section objectives, contribute to continuous improvement, whilst fostering accountability and achievement within the team.

What you will Bring
As a seasoned Senior Workplace Relations Lead, you'll bring extensive leadership and business partnering experience to the table. Your ability to strategically manage resources, navigate logistical challenges, and balance competing priorities will be instrumental. Your strong cross-cultural communication skills will play a crucial role in fostering positive Workplace Relations. Additionally, you will have: -
- Bachelor of Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in generalist or senior HR business partnering role.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team in a diverse and complex work environment with proven experience in balancing competing priorities, and delegating tasks to deliver a positive outcome.
- Sound understanding of performance management systems is a plus.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.

- A minimum annual salary of $106,708 (negotiable based on experience) plus 14% superannuation and district allowance.
- Salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 and additional Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
- Generous leave entitlements such as 5 weeks annual leave, 18 days personal leave per annum, and paid Christmas shut down
