Youth Justice and Exceptional Needs are seeking a Senior Youth Justice Psychologist to join the Youth Justice Assessment and Intervention Services (YJAIS) team.

The Senior Youth Justice Psychologist position carries out a range of diverse professional tasks and functions, including: 

• Conducting effective and efficient clinical and forensic psychological assessments of clients, including assessment of disability-related needs and criminogenic risk.
• Undertaking complex case conceptualisation, diagnosis and formulation of theoretically informed treatment planning.
• Supporting complex, high risk young people to gain and implement skills that assist in addressing their offending behaviour.
• Providing specialist advice, assistance and consultancy services to Youth Justice managers and staff. Assisting in the design, construction and validation of assessment and intervention procedures and the selection and adaptation of alternate methodologies.

Special Conditions

National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).

Essential Requirements:  A Masters level qualification in Clinical or Forensic Psychology or equivalent qualification and registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law to practise as a Psychologist. 

This is a full-time contract role (1.0 FTE), until March 2025. 

Salary Range: $102,641-$110,094 (AHP3)
