About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a vibrant Residential Manager at our Wallsend Specialist Disability Accommodation site, to provide effective operational and maintenance management of the accommodation, consistent with 4u Care’s mission, philosophy & commitment to the delivery of high-quality care. The Residential Manager will work collaboratively with participants and their families/carers to promote a person-centered practice and ensure smooth transition into 4u Care's accommodation.
The key aspects of this role are to manage and lead team of Lead Supports and Support Workers, to ensure operational benchmarks are reached alongside compliance with all policy and procedures in place.
This position is Permanent Full Time Monday - Friday.
Desired Criteria
- Certificate IV in a relevant field of study including Community Services, Business, Operations, People Resources.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Proven extensive experience Working with Children and People living with a Disability and extensive knowledge of NDIS, or willingness to learn
- Demonstrated People Management and Leadership Experience
- Proven experience with: Case Management in an Accommodation Setting, Clinical Care, Crisis Management, Conflict Management, Facilitating Staff Training in High Intensity Support / Complex Care, Risk Assessments and WHS & Incident Management
- Proven experience working collaboratively in a Team environment with the ability to build and maintain working Relationships with various Stakeholders
- Experience with Roster Coordination and provision of On-Call support
- Training and experience in Trauma Informed Care and responding to Complex Behaviours
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong time management and problem solving ability
- First Aid Certificate and Resuscitation
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening check
- COVID Vaccination
- Current Drivers Licence
