Due to a positive outlook for 2024 and the real need for a Senior/Principal level Engineer to join the Newcastle based team has arisen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting structural design for post-tensioned and reinforced concrete
- Performing design calculations independently and ensuring they meet Australian Standard
- Utilizing structural design software.
- Involvement in business development and business direction
- Collaborating with team members and communicating effectively
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely delivery
- Relevant engineering qualifications and be a Chartered Engineer or already working towards chartership
- Demonstrated experience in bridge engineering design with an emphasis on road, bridges and rail projects
- Strong bridge and Structural Engineering technical skills
- Experience in Bridge inspections, assessment, strengthening schemes
- Proficient in use of software packages such as SBD, Midas, Strand7 etc.
- Geotechnical knowledge to interpret and analyse desktop studies for inputs into structural design
- A creative thought process that results in pragmatic design options
- Leadership skills are desirable
