Purpose of role
As an SEO Manager, you will be tasked not only with the creation and optimization of content to improve Crimson’s search performance across major platforms, but also with managing a team of content writers, developing strategies for lead acquisition, and coordinating with the development team to implement innovative tools and solutions. Your role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between the marketing and tech teams, ensuring that SEO strategies are holistically integrated into all aspects of the company's online presence. The SEO Manager will report directly to Crimson’s VP of Marketing, providing regular updates on SEO performance, ongoing initiatives, and future strategies.
What are the main responsibilities for this role?
- Take full ownership of Crimson’s SEO performance.
- Perform industry research to identify top-performing keywords.
- Conduct in-depth link analysis and create action plans around link building or removal.
- Create and oversee the production of SEO-optimized content.
- Monitor search performance across all English-speaking markets.
- Stay abreast of SEO industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements, proactively researching and assessing both their potential and actual impact on our SEO strategy.
- Manage and mentor a team of content writers, ensuring that content is consistently SEO-optimized, high-quality, and aligned with Crimson's brand voice and messaging.
- Develop a content calendar and ensure timely production and publishing of content across various platforms.
- Brainstorm, propose, and integrate lead acquisition tools and strategies aimed at optimizing lead generation and conversion.
- Develop and manage Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns, ensuring they align with SEO strategies and overall marketing objectives.
- Analyze SEM performance data and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
- Liaise with the tech team to optimize the backend of the website and implement SEO-friendly features and updates.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure that SEO strategies are seamlessly integrated into all technological and developmental aspects of the company’s online platforms.
- Work closely with other marketing professionals to ensure that SEO strategies align with and complement other marketing initiatives.
- Research potential demand and market characteristics for new goods and services.
- Collect and analyze data and other statistical information to understand and predict current and future consumer trends.
- Bachelor's degree, or higher, in relevant area of study
- Three (3) or more years experience in SEO
- Expertise and experience using Google Analytics
