An exciting opportunity has become available for a Service Delivery Officer to join our Secure Communications & Information Systems (SIX) team based in Canberra. The primary role of this position will be to deliver support to meet our customer’s requirements, whilst maintaining the high standard required by Thales and delivering within schedule and budget.
The Service Delivery Officer will have the responsibility to assist the Service Delivery Manager to support projects/contracts as a member of the Project Management Office (PMO) in accordance with Thales methodologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Key accountabilities and responsibilities)
The key areas of responsibility include;
- Ensure that project management requirements, principles and processes comply with project/contract specifications and are performed within the allocated cost and schedule.
- Attend regular meetings with managers to build in continuous feedback mechanisms for work package management.
- Provide support to Programs delivery areas, and staff with regard to conformance with program and operations processes.
- Contribute to team meetings and reporting commitments including take notes, minutes and actions
- Production of weekly/monthly reports as required by Thales management
- Establish and complete Work Package initiation processes on gaining approval.
- The delivery of all requirements for responses to Work Package requests (schedule, quotations and risks)
- Tracking finance and activity progress, raising invoices and ensuring deliverables meet the contracted KPI requirements.
- Coordinate and Maintain program registers including Contract Tasking, Technical Data, Licence Register, Risk Register, Lessons Learnt register, including the facilitation of Risk and Lessons Learnt meetings.
- Data management for project and contractual documentation.
- Conduct/Coordinate basic project accounting, financial reporting and Administrative functions.
- Contribute to Health Safety and the Environment (HSE) management and facility issues as required.
- All applicants must have a Defence Security Clearance at the NV1 Level
- A Certificate IV in Business (Administration) or equivalent experience
- High level of interpersonal, organisation and communication skills teamed with good attention to detail
- Experience in a Project Management Office or relevant industry experience
- Project Management qualifications (RegPM - CPPP, Prince2 Foundation) are desirable
