Your part in our UnitingCare Community team
We are currently seeking to appoint a Service Leader to work as a part of our UnitingCare Foster and Kinship Care Service.
This is a rewarding and challenging role where you will have a significant opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children, young people, carers and families.
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the service and provide professional leadership to employees with emphasis on delivery of high-quality, best practice service delivery to carer families and young people servicing carers across from Innisfail to Mossman/Table Lands/Cairns
The role also requires the provision of professional leadership and management of all aspects of the service to ensure that the goals and objectives are met as identified in the Service Agreement and within prescribed time frames and parameters. This role will prioritise the provision of participative supervision, professional development and performance management within a framework of service excellence for our clients.
What makes a difference for us?- Significant experience in Child protection and delivering Foster and Kinship Care services to children and families.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Social Science)
- Current drivers’ licence.
- A current Blue Card or willingness to make an application for one
- Must also be willing to undergo a personal history checks under the provision of the Child Protection Act 1999 in relation to Licensing of Care Services
- Applicants must be willing to travel within the region which covers from Tully to Mossman and across the Atherton Tablelands.
