About the role
We are seeking a Clinical Lead Nurse to provide ongoing leadership, mentoring and supervision to Clinical staff with a focus on fostering teamwork across the multidisciplinary team. Facilitate timely communication through individual supervision with direct reports and regular team meetings.
The Clinical Lead is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the clinical governance framework and will provide high level clinical consultation, advice and leadership to clinicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
This position is offered on a Fixed Term Full-Time basis until 29th November 2024 to cover parental leave and will be based in our Maroochydore office.

As Clinical Lead you will:
- Manage internal and engage external multidisciplinary teams, providing opportunities for professional growth and development, de-briefing and ongoing training
- Maintain a designated case load, ensuring customer needs and goals are met within allocated package budgets
- Provide oversight and facilitate clinical review, care planning, coordination and decision making for service delivery
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies, document templates and processes in collaboration with the Clinical Quality - Governance and Practice Team.
- Continuously work towards increased efficiencies of service delivery
- Provide input and oversight of the recruitment and induction of new team members as directed.
About You
You need to be enthusiastic and friendly, with demonstrated experience working within the health, community or social service sector, and an understanding of the impact of ageing and or disability on the lives of individuals and family member in the community.
You will also possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Nursing
- Current practicing registration with relevant applicable body such as Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally-diverse families and indigenous communities with the ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate
- High level sector knowledge pertaining to Community Services, Aged Care, and/or Primary Health Care and comprehensive knowledge of local and broader community services and resources
- Experience working with customers deemed to have complex needs.
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including ability to establish rapport, maintain positive professional relationships and ensure effective consultation and negotiations with all stakeholders.
- High level computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to cope with conflicting work pressures
- Must have access to own vehicle and be willing to use it for work purposes, ensuring vehicle is appropriately insured
