About The Role
We are currently seeking a Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) Certified Locator to join our rapidly growing team. Based at Lonsdale, SA, you will be responsible for site-based projects where you will support the operations with locating a range of underground utility services whilst complying with the Company’s OH&S policies and guidelines.
Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, your key responsibilities will include:
- Read and understand utility maps, DBYD plans and aerial imagery to assist in identification of underground assets
- Request and complete any Permit requests in relation to Utilities/Assets on job sites as per client requirements.
- Create and submit utility reports on completion of each job
- Ensure clients are provided with appropriate referrals to the services that meet their needs
- Assist in the training of employees in the use of the Asset locator, and identifying of assets where required
- Responsible for the scheduled maintenance and repair of all locating devices

About You
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- DBYD accreditation and ability to accurately interpret DBYD plans
- Experience in underground asset location, with the ability to determine location, orientation and depth
- Sound understanding of appropriate Australian standards and legislation
- Knowledge in using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) & Radio Detection Locating Equipment
- Experience in the Civil Construction industry is an added advantage
- Conduct fieldwork in challenging environments
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and national Police clearance
