Job description

As an integral part of our 2024-2028 Strategic Vision, the Service Manager at Step-Up Step-Down will contribute to Richmond Wellbeing’s vision of being a Leader in Transformative Services.  At Richmond Wellbeing we are committed to delivering safe, high-quality, best-practice mental health services that make a difference to people’s lives through our passionate, expert teams.

About the Role

As a Service Manager, you will lead a team to deliver exceptional services to residents at our Step-Up Step-Down (SUSD) residential site in partnership with WA Country Health Service and Cyrenian House.

You will ensure compliance with regulations, manage budgets, develop staff, and foster a culture of excellence and resilience within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Management

  • Lead the team to deliver program requirements according to operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Implement cultural change initiatives and ensure compliance with funding guidelines and quality frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and achieve program targets.

Relationship Management

  • Oversee the collaboration between WA Community Health Services and Cyrenian House partnership.
  • Working with the multi-disciplinary team and clinical teams from Cyrenian House and WA Country Health Services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize service delivery and share best practices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both within Richmond Wellbeing and the broader community.

People and Performance Management

  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and manage employee development.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and foster a positive work environment.
  • Recruitment

Finance and Budgeting

  • Oversee financial management, including budget compliance and expenditure authorization.
  • Provide timely reports and feedback to the Regional Manager on financial matters.

Leadership

  • Demonstrate values-based leadership and promote a culture of openness, feedback, and productivity.
  • Establish team structures and develop staff to meet organisational needs and client outcomes.

Bunbury SUSD is a 10-bed, 28-day stay residential mental health service located in the idyllic South West region. Its recovery-focused program supports consumers experiencing mental distress to embark on their recovery journey in a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Richmond Wellbeing recognises that consumers are experts in their own experience and walks alongside individuals in their journey.


About You

To be considered for this role, you will possess;
 

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing or similar.

  Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading teams in a complex service delivery setting, preferably in mental health or related fields.

  Skills

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in change management, budget management, and stakeholder engagement.

  Attitude

  • Action-oriented, accountable, flexible, and committed to achieving results.
  • Demonstrates courage in leadership and maintains cultural sensitivity and respect.

Other Requirements

  • National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months)
  • Valid WA driver's license
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Working with Children Check
