headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. The multidisciplinary team at headspace Edmondson Park will work to improve health, social, vocational and educational outcomes for young people.

About the position

Grand Pacific Health is looking for an emerging or experienced leader to oversee the establishment of the new headspace Edmondson Park service. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience delivering clinical or psychosocial supports together with leadership potential.
The headspace Edmondson ParkService Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centre, functional leadership of the team and ensuring that services are delivered to a high standard. This includes responsibility for HR management, oversight of clinical service delivery, clinical governance and representing headspace Edmondson Park in the community. The role is part of the broader GPH headspace leadership team working together to achieve the objectives of GPH and headspace Edmondson Park.
Please note this position will be initially based at headspace Liverpool until the headspace Edmondson Park Office is established in 2024.
We are looking for someone with:
- Current full AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, registered mental health nurse or occupational therapist, qualified social worker eligible for membership of the AASW or relevant skills, qualifications and experience in mental health services and health services management.
- Understanding of the Australian health care system and key issues relevant to primary health care particularly in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people living with mental health and/or substance use problems.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and ability to establish partnerships with a range of service providers and organisations.
- Demonstrated skills in health services management including planning for and delivering on team objectives and deliverables, monitoring and maintaining team performance, ensure role clarity and accountability and facilitating collaboration.
- Understanding of the needs of diverse communities such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD), and gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) communities.
