Senior Service Technician
Our client, a leading supplier of high-quality water purification systems in Australia, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Senior Service Technician to join their team based in Melbourne, VIC. This role involves providing exceptional service support, including breakdown and scheduled maintenance, to customers across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a diverse range of equipment, including plant equipment maintenance, fault finding, replacing parts, monitoring of efficiencies, routine checks, and breakdowns.
- Prepare detailed service reports for key accounts and service contract clients.
- Collaborate with the admin and sales team to prepare service quotations.
- Identifying and pursuing opportunities for business growth with existing customers will be fondly looked upon but not essential.
- Educate customers on the safe and correct operation of their systems.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge of products and services.
- Service customers in both metropolitan and remote VIC/TAS areas, with some overnight travel required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- TAFE/Trade qualifications in electrical, plumbing, or relevant areas are highly desired but not essential.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the industry or a related field.
- Previous experience in water purification systems is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
- Competent in troubleshooting and fault finding.
- Physically fit.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Police Check and Working with Children certification are essential.
