Employment status: Permanent 

Employment arrangement: Full Time

Location: Sydney CBD

Option to work under a 19-day month arrangement

The City of Sydney is seeking a motivated Service Optimisation Manager to lead a small team responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring new ways of working across the functions of Planning Assessments, Health and Building, and Construction and Building Services to improve efficiency and effectiveness and business outcomes.

Working closely with the senior managers in City Planning and Development, you will continually improve and optimise services, systems, processes, data, and business intelligence to adapt to and keep pace with a constantly evolving planning, approvals and compliance landscape.

To be the successful candidate, you must have: 

•    degree level qualifications such as, but not limited to, business management, change management, technology and information and/or demonstrated equivalent competencies gained through extensive experience, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development
•    demonstrated experience in improving, automating and redesigning processes and work practices to deliver tangible positive outcomes
•    experience and knowledge of change management principles, improvement methodologies and tools and application to improvement programs
•    Experience in leading, coaching and supporting employees to create a culture of improvement.
