Service Support Officer, Qld Operations

The AEC has a dispersed network of 151 electoral divisions, 30 of which are located across Queensland including the State Office in Brisbane CBD and 14 single and multi-divisional office sites across the state.
There are current vacancies for a Service Support Officer located in the Maranoa Divisional Office, Dalby Queensland. The Service Support Officer position supports the Team Leader and works alongside a small dynamic team.
For the delivery of federal elections or other federal electoral events, staffing rapidly expands to help manage the increased workload around risk management, fast-moving project work and logistical activities, media, and public scrutiny.
The key duties of the position include
We are seeking versatile and energetic people to undertake a range of administrative functions in areas of enrolment and election management, and project management and delivery.
You will provide frontline client services to members of the public, including answering enquiries on and assisting with electoral enrolment. During an event the Service Support Officer may be required to supervise a small team as well as provide training to aid in the delivery of planned activities.
The functions may also include processing special categories of enrolment and contributing to the planning and project management of key election activities leading the delivery of several projects, ensuring communication flows seamlessly and accurately to the Team Leader.
The Service Support Officer positions (APS 2) are part time during core business periods and move to full time during an electoral event.
