The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an individual that is trustworthy, reliable, and dependable looking to grow their career in a permanent full-time position with a national market leader.
As a key member of the Service team, the successful individual will be actively involved with our customers and undertake responsibilities in various tasks including:
- Service, maintenance, calibration, and repair of scientific instruments
- Customer relationship management
- Assisting customers and/or internal team members with technical support
- Travelling to sites to install, commission, inspect and repair gas detection and environmental monitoring equipment and associated control systems.
You’ll be primarily responsible for conducting service repairs, maintenance and calibration on a range of occupational health, safety and environmental monitoring equipment, and will also have the opportunity to showcase your communication skills by providing technical support and solutions for customers and fellow team members.
You will be required to manage your own time within clear targets and guidelines.
About You:
We know this is an exciting opportunity, but there are a few things we need from you:
- Industry experience with electronics repair, troubleshooting of gas detection, personal sampling equipment and previous experience as a Service Technician are advantageous but full training is provided.
- A demonstrated ability to absorb technical information quickly and a desire to continually develop your knowledge.
- TAFE qualifications in instrumentation/electronics will be well regarded.
- A friendly, proactive, and professional personality with a desire to listen, understand and assist with client needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and customer relationship management skills preferred.
- Ability to adapt to change and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- A love of speaking with customers, building relationships, and adding value to customer solutions.
- Ability to pass a medical examination and routine drug and alcohol testing on customer sites.
