About the Role:
Based at the company's newly renovated Service Centre in South-Southwest Perth, this role involves close collaboration with Product Managers and the local service team. You will be responsible for supervising and servicing Dry Gas Seals and Expansion Joints. Your duties will include ensuring adherence to company procedures and product manuals, completing work on time, and maintaining the highest standards of safety.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for both local, interstate and international site exposure. International travel is expected up to 1-2 times a year, mainly to
Customer sites throughout the Asia Pacific region when required for durations not exceeding two weeks per trip. Alongside a competitive base salary, additional compensation for periods of site work and travel will be provided.
When not traveling, you will play a crucial role at the Service Centre by supporting the local service team, primarily focusing on general seal repairs. After receiving comprehensive training, you will become the internal subject matter expert on Dry Gas Seals and Expansion Joints. As the go-to person for these technologies, you will provide invaluable support and guidance to stakeholders within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assist in servicing a variety of dry gas sealing technology products at customer sites, including major energy and resource companies like Origin Energy, Inpex, and BHP, as well as at power stations, desalination plants, and significant mining operations in Queensland and Western Australia.
- Ensure the technical performance of products meets the specifications outlined in product documentation.
- Perform installations of repaired or serviced products either on-site at customer locations or within the company’s service centers.
- Complete and maintain accurate reports and documentation related to customer visits, detailing service requirements, parts needed, and any issues encountered.
- Disassemble products needing repair or service, document the necessary work, and communicate any concerns to management.
- Reassemble products strictly according to the provided product manuals and technical specifications, ensuring all assembly reports are accurately completed.
- Assist in generating quotations and pricing for service work related to dry gas seals and expansion joints.
- Conduct tests on repaired or reassembled products in alignment with manuals and technical specifications, documenting the results comprehensively.
- Utilize a range of hand tools to fit and assemble parts, requiring a solid understanding of mechanical equipment principles.
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety (OHS) policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Trade qualification as Fitter and Machinist or Fitter Special Class.
- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (desirable).
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience in industrial equipment environments, preferably in mining, oil & gas, and industrial industries.
- Ability to travel interstate, overseas, to onshore/offshore locations, and remote mine sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer, communication, and presentation skills.
- Flexibility to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must meet fitness and induction requirements for end-user sites.
