Crea Laboratory Technologies is seeking a full time Service Technician, based in NSW at our Tuggerah office with travel throughout Australia and overseas. Your role will be to assist in being part of a productive and efficient team with a focus on customer service, maintenance, repair and calibration of Scientific Instruments.
Crea Service Technicians pride themselves on being much more than just the traditional technician. They provide great customer service to their internal and external customers by developing strong, communicative relationships and working alongside them to solve problems.

Essential Criteria
- Australian Resident/Citizen
- Current Driver's License
- Experience in Scientific Instrument Industry
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Has the ability to to research and learn solutions from available resources
- Demonstrated excellent organisational skills
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Must be available to travel on weekends
Desirable
- Tertiary Education in a scientific or engineering discipline
- Experience in operating, servicing & repairing a diverse range of Scientific Instruments.
- Experience in servicing Scientific Instruments in the field
- Demonstrated ability to seek out new customer opportunities

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring all field service work is completed within due date
- Working to timeframes / deadlines
- Ensuring in-house service work is completed in a timely manner
- Operate and maintain a diverse range of scientific equipment
- Maintain existing customer relationships
- Support customer enquiries efficiently & effectively
- Communicate service issues to Service Manager in timely manner
- Use resources available to develop necessary skills to install, use, complete training and service new instruments
- Develop methods for servicing instruments including checklists, part lists, service lists
- Keep all areas tidy at all times – Warehouse, Lab and workshop
- Attend local and overseas training as required
- Calibration and Service of scientific instruments
- 100% job completion – Service calibration, Service report, Certificate, sticker, customer debrief
- No repeat service visits control
- Document control of manuals and worklists
- Upselling to assist sales staff
- Working collaboratively with the Service Manager to ensure the service department runs efficiently and all field work and in-house service work is completed on time and customer needs are being met.
Training will be provided within Australia, on the job to support the right applicant to grow into the role. In addition self study from provided resources and possible training opportunities at manufacturer site.
