Hass Pumps was established in Melbourne and now provides fire pump and protection systems Australia-wide. Hass Pumps is currently seeking a competent, mechanically minded technician to carry out service and repair work on a variety of fire protection equipment. This is a permanent position with an excellent opportunity to open new doors and grow within the company, full training will be provided to the right candidate.
This role is hands-on and would suit all types of mechanics or similar technicians with sound mechanical knowledge and an understanding of engines, pumps and general industrial equipment.
The position on offer is a Field Service role and will require you to perform maintenance, installation and repair work on diesel and electric fire pumps located across the Melbourne metro area and Victoria, we welcome applicants from all areas of Greater Melbourne and beyond.
Key duties Include
- On site Diesel engine servicing and repair work
- Testing, troubleshooting and diagnosing engine and controller faults
- On site motor and pump removal/installation/restoration work
- Refueling Diesel fuel tanks at customer premises
- Recording test data and writing basic reports
We are seeking an employee who has the ability to think ahead, plan, communicate clearly and most importantly be willing to learn on the job.
To be considered for this role you will need to be able to work unsupervised and have excellent time management skills. You will be required to follow instructions and ensure all works are carried out to high standards whilst ensuring our customer’s compliance requirements are met. You will also need to be available for early morning starts when required.
This role does require some heavy lifting and manual labour, so a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.
Requirements-
Strong mechanical experience and hands-on skills
Hold (or willing to obtain) Current police check, Working With Children Check
Hold a Valid Driver's License
Be available to start/finish working days at varied times depending on work load
Excellent communication and customer service skills (written and verbal)
Effective and efficient time-management skills
