An Australian Owned Company and Leader in their field, this well-known Medical Equipment Manufacturing company is seeking the services of a Field Service Technician to join the growing team.
This full time position requires an ambitious mechanically minded technician who enjoys a hands-on approach to problem solving with a keen eye for detail and ability to provide excellent customer service.
The position would be suitable for an experienced technician who is looking for a new challenge and to develop in a role which requires mechanical aptitude and some electrical skills.
You will work in the Melbourne area and the surrounding region including some rural travel. The work will include unplanned maintenance and carrying out planned preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as well as working on installation projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Planned preventative maintenance on sterilizer machines and other infection control equipment.
- Installing, commissioning and validation of equipment.
- Fault finding and emergency repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service skills.
- Emergency responses call out to customer needs (when rostered on call)
- Travel as required.
- Management of assigned inventory (van stock)
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
- A restricted electrical license or the ability to obtain one.
- Some technical and maintenance experience.
- A demonstrated technical background with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in fault-finding.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Problem solving and ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Current drivers’ license.
- Clear police and working with children's check.
- Willing to travel to regional areas to carry out repairs and service work when required.
You will be provided with comprehensive training on all products and services as well as training on our state of the art ERP system and mobile app. You will be supplied a company work van and a fuel card to cover related travel. Also a smart phone, laptop and a credit card to cover work related expenses including travel costs. Monthly RDO's are offered as part of the role.
A competitive wage plus superannuation is on offer as well as the opportunity for overtime on occasions. Although previous experience in the medical equipment industry would be looked on favorably, it is not essential to succeed in this position.
