What you'll be doing:
Based in our Osborne Park workshop, the Service Technician will be working on a range of Trimble technology products. Primarily focusing on pre-installation functions such as bench testing hardware, activating software and configuring systems.
Other duties include;
- Repair of machine control GPS components & instrumentation.
- Repair & calibration of Site Positioning systems.
- Testing & validating equipment to product specifications.
- Upgrading firmware and configuring components and systems.
- Troubleshooting & fault finding.
- Managing customer warranties and claims.
Skills & Experience to be considered:
- A minimum of 1-2 year's experience in a Service Technician, Electronics IT/Technician or similar role.
- Basic understanding of networking principles.
- Ability to work with delicate instruments and precision.
- Proficient with soldering techniques and mechanical assembly.
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Exposure to working with ERP job costing platforms & systems.
- Great customer service and communication skills.
- Previous experience or exposure to IT Networking or instrumentation is advantageous
