Service Technician
The Position
As a SERVICE TECHNICIAN, you will be part of the business’ national field service network, an integral department within the business. Your tasks will be to provide onsite maintenance, repairs and installation of roller shutters to high value clientele in metro and Regional Qld.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair and maintain the Mirage Doors and ASSA ABLOY product range
- Service to comply with Australian standards AS5OO7
- Complete paperwork/documents as per quality and timeliness standard
- Liaise with customers in relation to repairs and installation/CBIB
- Liaise with Service Coordinators or Planners on any issues that may arise from sites and other services in a timely manner
- Work flexibly, including call-outs or overtime as required
- Comply with Company and site inductions/checks (drug, alcohol, police, working with children, flu shots/vaccines and other required checks) and other WHS requirements at all times
- Maintain work tools in compliance with policies at all times (Motor Vehicle, Tools of Trade, Phone, Tablet, etc.)
- Coordinate requirements on parts and stocks with the Coordinators
- Use as instructed, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Safe Working Methods (SWMS) that have been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role
- Attend and participate in all Toolbox meetings, required training, audits and other programs as required
- Report all safety incidents, hazards and risks, provide documentation and photos
- Comply with AAES Values and Behaviours, Policies and other requirements at all times
- Other tasks that may be required from time to time.
Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will be proactive and self driven who is looking to expand their skillset and career in the service field.
Excellent customer service and communication skills on many levels
- 2 to 3 years’ experience as a field Service Technician in capital equipment/ building industry.
- Experience with Boilermaking/fabrication background preferred but not essential
- Experience preferably in the building materials, service and/or installation industry
- Knowledge of maintenance processes
- Geographic knowledge of city/state
- The ability to work at heights
- Construction Industry White cards and Blue cards for working with Children
- Tickets for operation of forklifts, scissor lifts/EWP, High Risk Work licence, etc
- Must have current drivers licence and must maintain license
- Must be able to work flexibly (overtime, out of hours, including weekends)
