Position: Service Technician
GEA is one of the largest suppliers of technology for the food processing industry and for a wide range of other process industries.
We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to provide service and maintenance on process plants and equipment located at our customer sites across Australia.
You will be required to:
- Undertake scheduled maintenance as well as emergency service support work including when required.
- Provide the technical support and troubleshooting
- Liaise with clients or clients' representatives in the performance of the service tasks
- Assist with the maintenance of reference manuals and technical files.
- Maintain appropriate reports and records including time and parts for customer invoicing.
- Assist in other parts of the business as required to ensure the overall effectiveness of the Company.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Based out of our office in Tullamarine, you will be required to travel to various customer sites across Australia.
Ideally you will be an experienced Fitter and Turner or similar, with a background in service and maintenance or engineering and an ability to interpret service manuals and drawings.
Experience with high speed rotating equipment or within the dairy, food or beverage industries would also be highly desirable.
You will have excellent oral and written skills, computer skills and an ability to work unsupervised. Outstanding customer service skills are a must.
