SERVICE TECHNICIAN BMU

YOUR ROLE
The key purpose of this role is to carry out maintenance, inspections, repairs, modernizations, and installations of BMUs and related height safety equipment in a cost-efficient and profitable manner while achieving high-quality standards and workmanship.
Service Technician BMU will work closely with other Service Technicians and report directly to Service Supervisor BMU.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION DOES REQUIRE WORKING AT EXTREME HEIGHTS ON SOME OF PERTH'S MOST ICONIC BUILDINGS - IF YOU HAVE A FEAR OF HEIGHTS THIS ROLE WOULD NOT BE RECOMMENDED.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out detailed inspection services to all makes and models of BMUs
- Work independently on repair, complex modernizations and installation jobs on non-standard equipment
- Be able to solve electrical problems by yourself on non-standard complicated equipment.
- Be able to identify and source all parts from suppliers
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, large modernizations, new installations, problem-solving electrical faults autonomously on BMUs and related equipment
- Have the ability to provide supervision and lead project teams on large projects
- Have a detailed understanding of Safety and Risk Assessment policies and procedures.
- Provide support and advice to other technicians.
- Have a detailed understanding of the related Australian Standards and Regulations
- Be able to offer electrical repairs and field modernization solutions to customers.
- Be able to attend emergency breakdowns and identify and repair mechanical and electrical faults on standard products.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role or hands-on experience as an A grade Electrician
- Electrical Trade License
- Current Driver's License
- Working at Heights Competency
- White Card
