Service Technician - Electrical

We are the Cat® engine and generator dealer for Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. 

Our Rental Solutions business provides a full service offering with technical support to find the optimal power, air or temperature control solutions to drive our clients’ business.  Our experienced technicians specialise in diesel and gas power generation, including servicing, fault finding, repairs and remote support as required. 

This residential role, based in Kalgoorlie - Goldfields WA, is part of a newly established team to provide support to this growing area of the business.

Are you a qualified electrician with a Western Australian A-Grade License? Are you looking for an opportunity to build your career and learn the intricacies of power generation? 

What does your ideal team look like?

Our extended team comprises technical experts across diverse disciplines including, electrical, mechanical, sales and administration, working together to bring practical and smarter solutions to our customers. 

You will be trained in power generation controls systems, fault finding and repair in a field service environment where you will travel within the region to support our growing customer base.  We offer a generous housing allowance, strong training and development support, both face-to-face and on-line through Cat® University.

About you

• A-Grade electrical License.
• Current drivers’ license.
• High-level organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong listening, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, driven and a self-starter.
• Residential-based role.
• Flexibility for an on-call roster.
