About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and autonomous thinking Technician to join our TyreSense team located in Perth. As a TyreSense Technician you will provide technical support to our system, working closely with multiple key stakeholders within our client’s complex business network.
This is a highly rewarding and dynamic role for the right candidate as you will be required to provide technical support for both hardware and software platforms, training and upskilling of key end user groups, both externally and internally, and developing solutions-based outcomes for existing and new business requirements.
Supported by our development and engineering team in Canada, and reporting to the TyreSense Lead Technician, you will be part of a dedicated team providing best in class technical support to an industry leading and safety critical system.
Key Responsibilities
Based at our Western Australian Head Office in Perth your role will include:
- Regular travel throughout Western Australia to mining operations and corporate offices where required to support and promote the TyreSense product in the field.
- Conduct system audits, health checks and provide recommendations on hardware and system replacements to ensure optimum reliability of TyreSense.
- Ensure client satisfaction is achieved through delivering product expectations.
- Perform product installations, on new and used equipment at OEM facilities and client mining operations, ensuring TyreSense standards are maintained.
- Manage existing clients providing training and upskilling to key end users while assisting RIMEX sales staff with new enquiries with technical queries and application scoping.
- Provide detailed value add analysis of TyreSense offering recommendations and actions for product health improvements.
- Provide training and upskilling of clients end users, third party contractors and internal sales staff.
About You
To be successfully considered for this role you will have:
- A background in Auto Electrical, Electronics, or communications.
- A Mechanical aptitude would be highly regarded as you will be required to understand complex machine layouts.
- Prior experience with power and hand tools is essential.
- Strong computer skills and ability to utilise various software systems.
- Capable to safely handle equipment and communicate well with internal departments and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow risk assessment and hazard identification processes.
- Meet a physical standard to undertake system installations and inspections on large earthmoving equipment, in Perth and on remote mining operations.
- Be an Australian Citizen or be a permanent resident.
- Meet our strict zero drug and alcohol tolerance requirements.
- Current Manual C Class Driver’s Licence
