We are a national service provider, currently seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and self-motivated employee for our expanding Service team in South Australia.
Freshwater Systems is recognised as a leading Water Treatment Company, servicing industries such as hospitals, research facilities, plumbing contractors, mining, general industry, commercial buildings, food & beverage, wastewater and agriculture/pastoral water supplies.
Our core business incorporates membrane technology (RO, UF, MF), Ion Exchange Process & Media Filtration, Water Softeners, Ultra Violet Sterilisation, Cartridge Filtration, Pumps, Water and Wastewater Pumping Stations, Trade Waste Plants (DAF), Water Management, Service and Preventative Maintenance.
Due to recent growth within our Service Division, we are actively seeking an experienced Water Treatment Technician.
We would also be interested to hear from potential candidates keen to further their trade careers with new challenges or someone with the right “can do” attitude who is willing to be trained in all facets of Water Treatment.
The Role:
- Providing breakdown service and repairs to Water Treatment equipment and plants on site
- On site Installation and commissioning of new Water Treatment equipment/plants
- Maintain quality records and compliance documentation as require by management
- Working on-site, carrying out testing to determine water quality, and adjusting chemical dosing levels as required.
- Installation and commissioning of varying treatment plants onsite and in-house.
- Liaise directly with clients and complete accurate service reports by recording and interpreting data from client plants.
- Identify critical performance indicators on varying treatment plants and rectify issues as they arise.
- Be proactive in determining process improvements and promote the upsell of improvements and upgrades.
- Assist with the development of equipment condition ratings, to assist in the development of asset condition reporting
Qualifications, Experience and Essential skills required:
- Current experience as a Field Service technician within the Water Treatment industry is highly desirable
- Relevant qualifications or Certificates is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a focus on organization and compliance
- Flexibility to be able to work overtime when required
- Availability for on call roster.
- Attention to detail, timely completion of reports and adherence to safe work procedures
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office software and experience with Aroflo or similar electronic service
based program
- Willingness to work in regional areas and Interstate when required.
- Identify, report, and resolve service outcomes on site
- Ability to trouble shoot with different plant and equipment for fault finding
- Current driver’s license is essential
- White Card is an advantage
- Police clearance / DCSI Clearance is an advantage
- Covid (2 shots min.) and Flu Vaccinations essential
- Electrical trade background with PLC/HMI experience would be highly desirable (but not essential)
