The role of General Laborer (Service Technician) is responsible for working on a day-to-day basis with the members of the Space Rentals team towards a common objective of increasing the visibility of ATCO Structures products in the respective market while maintaining a superior level of customer service. 

This role is based in Langley, BC. 

What You Get To Do: 

• Conduct cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors emptying waste containers, disposing of garbage, and recycling, washing windows, dusting, and replacing burnt-out bulbs and tubes from light fixtures.
• Performing light carpentry tasks such as installing doors/ windows, installing trims/moldings, floor patching, siding repair, floor patching, painting etc.
• Acquire materials such as parts or equipment required for the yard when needed.
• Complete minor maintenance and perform cleanliness checks on the fleet.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance activities for Space Rentals fleet.
• Provide input into the preventive maintenance plan.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks around the office and yard such as lawn mowing and snow removal of balcony and stairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are: 

• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role 
• Basic use and understanding of power tools
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing 
• Must be safety-oriented, and a good team player with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities, work well in a changing environment, and possess a sense of urgency.
• Able to carry out moderate to heavy lifting duties and operate cleaning equipment. 
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently.
