About the role:
We are currently seeking a part-time Services Australia Agent to provide the Blackwater community with a Services Australia agency and provide necessary administrative support.
What will a typical day look like?
- Provide and distribute suitable information to customers.
- Engage with customers and respond to enquiries about Services Australia programs and services.
- Refer customers with more difficult enquiries to the Services Australia Call Centre or an alternative.
- Accept completed Services Australia forms from customers and process as required.
- Promote access and the use of Call Centres to Services Australia customers.
- Assist new customers to establish payment types applicable to their circumstances, issue appropriate claim forms and link them to the claims process.
- Sight and verify documents supporting a customer’s claim, and where requested provide these to Services Australia Regional Office.
- Maintain office facilities to enable visiting Services Australia Officers to conduct private Customer interviews. Assist in the scheduling of customer appointments for visiting Services Australia Officers.
- Keep Services Australia Officers informed of any issues that may affect the local community and the delivery of services.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Full COVID-19 Vaccination
- A certificate IV in a social/ community service related field.
- Experience working with a diverse range of people.
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
- Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
