The Pelvic Floor Unit at St George Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Team Leader. This is a busy and dynamic department with many competing demands. We are seeking someone with a strong commitment to provide leadership & direction to the administration team whilst helping to motivate others striving to meet organisational objectives.

What you'll be doing
This role will provide advanced administrative and clerical support to the Head of Department in clinical research and will also provide day to day supervision of administrative staff. The position will also be responsible for rostering, clinic scheduling, transcription, Medicare billing, quality checks of data and to coordinate administrative systems to enable the Pelvic Floor Unit to achieve objectives in a timely, reliable, and efficient manner.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

- Demonstrated experience in providing a wide range of high level administrative services in a demanding environment and demonstrated knowledge in liaising with tertiary education facilities to support clinical research
- Demonstrated ability to write accurate and concise reports, documents and correspondence with strong attention to detail.
- High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently using initiative and judgement to solve problems
- Demonstrated commitment to work as part of a team in providing quality service and quality improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and standard office software packages and the ability to learn new systems as require
- Demonstrated experience in supervising and supporting an effective team with the ability to determine priorities for others, allocate tasks, coach and monitor work performance of staff to achieve work objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient billing practices
