About the Opportunity

On a typical day this role will:
- Supervise, lead, and support the Building Regulation Team in their duties and professional development.
- Investigate and regulate fire safety matters under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act (and Regulations).
- Undertake inspections, and determine applications for caravan parks, camping grounds and manufactured home estates.
- Inspect swimming pools and spas, and issue certificates of compliance or certificates of noncompliance under the Swimming Pools Act.
- Assess and determine applications for Building Information Certificates, and Occupation Certificates.
- Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on Building Regulation.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- A working understanding of fire safety requirements for buildings.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of residents and businesses.
- Experience in local government or a similar regulatory role.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $96,288.12 to $108,382.86 depending on skills and experience
This role also qualifies for a Leaseback or Vehicle allowance
