The AUSIEX Operations teams provide lifecycle operational support to the AUSIEX products and customers. Functions include account origination and maintenance, stock conversions and off-market transfers, deceased estates, bookings, equity and options settlements, corporate actions, cash settlements and payments.
What will you be doing
Reporting into & supported by the Senior Manager, AUSIEX Operations, you’ll lead a team that supports the settlement function for the majority of AUSIEX’s client base.
Day to day, your key accountabilities include:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of cash settlements, ensuring accurate and timely settlement of trades, Margins, FX, and Fees within daily cutoffs
- Manage the day-to-day workload of the team, ensuring cross-training and succession planning requirements are met
- Managing our daily ASX & ASIC client money requirements by investigating and resolving any exceptions
- Monitor settlement activities to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely matter
- Managing team access and key processes and relationships with our banking/payment systems CBA, Westpac, Macquarie and Austraclear
- Managing settlement risk and working closely with our Debt collection vendor
- Drive operational project work and ensure the team are trained and ready for all changes
- Establish and maintain procedures that align with AUSIEX's overall goals and objectives
- Minimum 10 year’s experience in a similar role working within the Stockbroking, Finance or Banking industry
- Detailed knowledge of securities settlements processes, including equities and derivatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ASX and ASIC Procedure Guidelines, Rules and Regulations relevant to the team
- Comprehensive understanding of Client Monies
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effective manage and develop a team
- Strong ability to identify risks and effectively manage and resolve
- Good planning and organising skills with the ability to work to deadlines is key
