Fantastic opportunity for a passionate RN to join our team. Sexual Health North is seeking an experienced and empathetic RN who is passionate about clinical excellence and patient care.
About us
Sexual Health North is a private billing Sexual Health clinic situated in Joondalup, providing ambulatory health services to clients in the Northern suburbs. We specialise in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and chronic blood borne viral infections ( HIV, hepatitis B & C). We also manage a wide variety of non STI related conditions such as genital skin issues, genital pain syndromes, and management of hormones for our gender transitioning patients, long acting reversible contraception including IUDs, sexual dysfunction and menopause.
Our two female doctors are very experienced Sexual Health physicians and have been working within the public system in Australia and the UK for many years. We have designed Sexual Health North as a space for patients to feel safe, comfortable, listened to and cared for while expressing themselves and seeking medical care. We are proud to provide a judgement-free environment for our patients and treat everyone equally with care and respect. Patient education and preventive health are core components to the care we provide. Fundamental our success is a strong ethos of team work and effective communication within the practice.
The role
We are seeking a registered nurse, unfortunately we can not accommodate an enrolled nurse at this time. Supporting the specialist with procedures, administration duties, triaging patients, contact tracing and patient education.
About you
To be considered for this role, ideally we are looking for an experienced RN who will be able to demonstrate:
- understanding, empathy, and be appreciative of the diversity in our patients needs
- a "hands-on" approach to providing patient care, as and when required
- registration with AHPRA
- the ability to work as a part of a team with an ongoing commitment to education and leadership in patient care
- An understanding of and commitment to continuous quality improvement both individually and as an organisation
- organisational and time management skills
- well developed computer and documentation skills
