Job description
Skills and qualifications required: - At least 3 years of experience in SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online development and administration, certification desirable.
- Proficient in C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
- SharePoint architecture in government.
- Familiar with SharePoint framework, and SharePoint online.
- Knowledgeable of SharePoint best practices, design patterns, architecture, and security standards.
- Experience in using SharePoint tools and platforms such as Visual Studio, Power Apps, Power BI and Microsoft PowerShell.
- Experience in the integration of SharePoint with Information Management Systems is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Staff will report to the IT Operations Manager of the Business Systems Operations unit and duties will include (but not be limited to): - Delivering high-quality SharePoint applications and solutions that meet the requirements and expectations.
- Work on clearing a backlog of SharePoint work under instruction from the team.
- Liaising with business areas to capture their requirements and translating into technical work packages.
- Follow the software development life cycle and adhere to coding standards and SharePoint best practice.
- Participating in the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of SharePoint applications and solutions.
- Providing technical support and documentation for the SharePoint applications and solutions.
- Liaising with the Information Management team as required to optimise the integration between SharePoint and the Information Management System.
- Ability to create training documentation and training packages.
- Advising on the latest SharePoint technologies and their application in the workplace.
