Our Company:
Shark Bay Resources operates a solar salt field at Useless Loop and exports high quality salt to various overseas markets. The solar salt operation is located in the unique and remote Shark Bay World Heritage Area.
Useless Loop:
The local amenities include a small shop, library, fuel station, community centre and excellent schooling facilities catering to Year 6. Onsite MESO (Medical Emergency Service Officer) with a modern well-equipped surgery, and a Primary School up to Year 6.
The Role:
This position is ideally suited to people looking for a combination of an interesting job and a relaxing lifestyle, working dayshift and only being on-call during ship loading periods. Working 12 hour day shift. 9 days on, 5 days off roster, reporting to the Electrical Supervisor and provide assistance in all electrical repairs and preventative maintenance across the site & town at Useless Loop.
The Duties:
You will join and contribute to a dedicated team committed to providing consistent high standard maintenance services whilst always maintaining safety standards.
- Large, industrial processing plants, electrical controlled pumping & valve systems, bulk materials handling conveyors/reclaimers & ship loading facilities.
- Domestic houses, commercial facilities, commercial refrigeration & freezer units (if ticketed) and supporting electrical power infrastructure.
- Perform upgrades and new electrical installations in both the industrial and domestic settings according to Australian Standards.
- Monitor and manage onsite diesel-powered generation units and power control instrumentation.
About you:
- WA "C" Class Drivers Licence.
- WA Electrical Licence.
- LVR & CPR certificates.
- Powerhouse operational experience.
- HV Switching competency.
- Split Airconditioning & Heat Pump systems.
- Familiar with the SCADA/PLC/ Process instrumentation.
- High Risk Work Licence - LF & WP - Desired.
- Experience in working in a similar industrial environment.
