The Role
We are currently searching for a SHE Systems and Audit Manager to join our Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) leadership team, reporting to our Chief Officer Safety, Health and Environment. You will be responsible for leading, managing and governing a comprehensive SHE management framework for the IXOM Group and running our corporate audit program.
This is a 12-month parental leave cover role with the possibility of running up to 18 months potentially running till December 2025.
Ideally, you will based in Melbourne head office, however we are flexible with where this role is based and Sydney or Brisbane would be suitable for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve IXOM SH&E Management System (Policies, Standards and Procedures)
- Administer and schedule SH&E Corporate and Security Audit Programs
- Approve Corporate Audit Reports and Action Plans
- Monitoring and Reporting of SH&E Management System Performance
- System and Audit Board level reporting
- Continuous improvement of our safety management system by applying de-cluttering and human centred design thinking
- Management of key support contractors
Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in relevant functional discipline such as Engineering, Allied Health, Psychology (or similar)
- 10 years' experience (preferably in chemical manufacturing, heavy industry or hazardous materials)
- 5 years+ technical/operational/ risk management experience
- Working knowledge of relevant Australian/NZ WHS and Major Hazard Facility legislation and practices including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
- Ability to influence, lead and communicate at all levels within the business
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel. Power BI experience would also be favourable
- Ability to communicate with senior leadership and Board members
- Graduate Certificate in Safety Leadership from Griffith University will be highly regarded
