Form of workAs a fully qualified and experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator, your role is vital in working with the Independent Switchboards team to deliver high quality switchboards in the allocated time and budget while meeting the Engineering Manufacturing Standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned duties in a timely & safe manner
- Reading drawings, processing materials in preparation for fabrication
- Fabrication of processed parts in an accurately
- Finishing/Polishing/Sanding of welded components
- Daily operation of tools and equipment such as Laser Cutter, Pressbrake, Guillotine, Welders (MIG & TIG), Grinders/Polishers
- Forklift Operations (if applicable)
- Marking/ measuring tools and general hand tools
- Coordinate & work in a team environment
- Maintain equipment
- Ensure work is performed to a high standard
- Adhere to company procedures
Requirements
- General switchboard fabrication knowledge is a plus
- Reading & interpreting 2D/3D drawings accurately is essential
- Fabrication/ Assembly of parts as per drawings
- Proficiency in MIG & TIG welding
- Ability to operate Laser Cutter, Pressbrake (CNC Delem) & Guillotine
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Problem solving skills
