We are a growing Sheet metal business, specialising, but not limited to the manufacturing of Electrical Switchboards for both High and Low voltage. Due to a large volume of ongoing work, we are looking for a talented and skilled Sheetmetal trade worker who will play a crucial role in contributing to the fabrication and assembly of various sheet metal components and structures to join our dynamic team in Eumemmerring on a full-time basis.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum AQF Certificate III in metal fabrication, or a minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Sheetmetal Trade worker in a construction or sheet metal works setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong welding and metalworking skills. Knowledge of various sheet metal materials and their properties.
- Ability to operate cutting, bending and shaping machines. Attention to detail and precision in work. Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and good communication and teamwork skills.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Fabrication of Sheetmetal components according to engineering drawings and specifications using various tools and equipment.
- Operate Laser cutting and press brake machines, mig welders, angle grinders and various other tools
- Perform welding tasks ensuring strong and durable connections.
- Accurately measure and assess materials to minimize waste and ensure the precise execution of projects.
- Conduct Quality checks on fabricated components to ensure they meet the required standards and client specifications.
