AddressBased in Dandenong South, our focus is on producing custom built toolboxes and cabinets for use in the trucking / service industries. Due to our rapid growth, we need a highly experienced fabricator, capable of operating CNC equipment to join the team.
About the role
- Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as laser cutting, guillotine and brake press, with low levels of supervision.
- Understand and interpret specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading engineering drawings.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto and off the machines.
- Set and adjust machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts or small job lots.
- Monitor the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce an acceptable result.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them to requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Ensuring workplace safety and cleanliness rules are always adhered to.
- Education level. Minimum Year 10, preferably with a Cert III in Engineering
- Experience. Minimum 3 years proven experience on CNC machines.
- Computer literacy is an advantage.
- Personal characteristics. Team player and able to take direction.
- Licenses. Light motor vehicle license or forklift license is an advantage.
- A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential.
