An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Shift Mechanical Fitter to join the Comgroup team at Cleveland on a full-time basis. You will be working as part of a supportive and motivated team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Fabrication and repair of food processing equipment.
- Machining and welding skills and experience.
- Mechanical site services repair.
- Safety Compliance, adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on machinery, including lockout/tagout procedures, PPE usage, and equipment guarding.
- Minimise downtime through effective maintenance.
To be successful in this position, you must possess the following:
- Trade qualified.
- Certificate 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Food Manufacturing experience.
- Stainless steel fabrication skills.
- Be able to work independently and proactively on preventive maintenance schedules, and attend breakdowns or other assigned tasks.
- Ability to work both am & pm shifts as well as weekends.
- Self-motivated and quick learner.
- Team player, with the ability to work unsupervised.
