Shift Supervisor | Tyrecycle

Your New Opportunity:

We have multiple great opportunities for an experienced Shift Supervisorto join our dynamic team at Erskine Park NSW!

You will be responsible for the supervision of the Plant Operators on shift, ensuring safe work practices are adhered to and duties are being performed to achieve individual and plant KPI’s, while reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

You will have key responsibility in:

• Drive the commitment of safety at all times, ensuring no breaches
• Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager in the role of a “Shift Supervisor” for the plant and reporting on progress, and problems that arise
• Identify, make recommendations, and drive continuous improvement for all site operations
• Maximise production of the plant by ensuring that Plant Operators work efficiently to maximize output achieved
• Supervise the duties of Plant Operators, ensuring that they operate that plant in a safe and efficient manner
• Determine appropriate plant down-time to ensure maximum operational efficiency is maintained at all times
• Perform all duties of a Plant Operator when required or when Plant Operators are not available

About you: 

• Understanding of safe work practices and manual handling
• Previous experience working and leading teams within a manufacturing environment
• Experience operating plant equipment
• A hands on leader who leads by example, with the ability to supervise and motivate fellow employees
• A reliable team player with a logical mind and able to work through problems
• Physically fit to handle repetitive heavy lifting up to 20kgs
• Previous experience loading of containers would be an advantage
• Basic mechanical skills would also be an advantage
