The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Ship Repair Assistant located in our Balmain Shipyard. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be working in and looking after a fleet of over 40 different vessels. Your main duties will include the routine maintenance of equipment and vessels across the fleet, as well as respond to breakdown maintenance as required. This role will work to support other Tradesperson to ensure the works are completed safely and within expected time constraints.
What you bring
We are looking for individuals who have relevant certifications (i.e. forklift, working at height, working in confined space, elevator work platform) and ideally experienced working with water vessels. Our Ship Repair Assistants are dedicated, mechanically minded and enjoys being able to work within a team and in an industrial/commercial/shipyard maintenance environment.
