About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics tradespersons to join our rapidly growing team in Rutherford NSW.
We are looking for team members with experience in fault finding and maintenance on a wide range of Heavy Vehicles associated to the transport, automotive and mining industry. You will be undertaking repairs, maintenance and overhauls of a variety of Heavy Vehicles for our respected clients. You will have a practical, hands on approach with excellent attention to detail surrounded by a professional and caring environment.
Key Duties
- Repairs and maintenance on a range of heavy and medium truck, trailer and rigid road vehicles.
- Servicing, repairs, troubleshooting, fault finding and diagnostics.
- Repair/refurbish, brakes, steering, suspension and drivelines
WE ALSO REQUIRE A SMALL ENGINE MECHANIC (Diesel) WHO HAS THE PASSION AND DRIVE TO REPAIR THE FOLLOWING:
- Deutz engines as well as Hatz, Perkins and Yanmar diesel engines
- You have the ability to build clear and open communication with direct workshop supervisors and Management
The key team members we are looking for need to have:
- Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualifications
- Post Trade experience in a similar role (greater than 1 year)
- Repair, install/replace componentry in a wide range of Heavy and Light vehicles, on-highway trucks, off-road trucks and civil plant/equipment working with Kenworth, Western Star and MACK (Desirable)
- Previous engine work experience working on CAT, Cummins and Detroit Diesel (Desirable)
- Current HR or HC licence (desirable)
- Proven ability to provide quality customer service outcomes
- Proven problem solving ability with strong work ethic and attention to detail with excellent customer service.
- Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements
- A strong commitment to safe work practices; and
Experience in transport or heavy mining equipment will be highly regarded
